Hey all,

It’s Jett here, it’s long overdue that you get an update from us so here’s an update on where we are as a studio. We’ve been pretty absent for the majority of this year, this year has been a pretty long year of reflecting on what brings the game success and how we can keep things alive with our limited resources as a community team especially with a game that requires constant week-on-week upkeep.

Over the past two months, I’ve been putting together a team from people in the community that have asked to work on the game. We've got some new engineers, map designers and artists on board that are excited to work on the game where they are able to. Going forward, we want to provide quality content for Due Process and the community that has stuck by us all this time, and we do genuinely believe that we can do that with this team.

As for what we’re working on, our Trello is the best place to find updating information on what we’re currently working on, as for more broad information on what updates are coming, you’re going to want to keep an eye here, or on our discord.

As for the next update, we’re going to be focusing on the experience of different game modes (and by extension the sustainability of the game), we’re not quite ready to share what that will look like yet but we want the game to feel as competitive and tense in those super-competitive environments as it always has, yet also an environment that is more approachable for a newer and or casual player. Any way we can push players to talk, plan and work together more will be a big part of those changes. We’re just going to need time and continued support to get there.

Other members of the team are approaching similar but different tasks such as an undertaking to improve our new player experience, with 20%~ of our players never playing more than an hour, we’re conscious that the early impressions of the game are very important and aren’t living up to the standards of the rest of the game.

In line with trying to be more open and transparent about what’s happening, I’ve updated our Early Access descriptions on our Steam page to be more reflective of how we are operating as a studio and how we want to further develop Due Process.

Thank you for bearing with us, we will continue to keep you updated on our progress where we are able and I hope to be writing on here again soon.
