Hello all!

Joe here (for once) to do a lovely dev blog. A little background on myself before I get to the blog but if you don't know my in game name is Tetra and I used to be a player and a content creator for the game. I was then brought on as a voluntary community manager before I then started contributing to the game as a map designer. I am now working on Due Process “full”-time and dedicating as much time to the game as possible I have a lot to cover so that’s enough about me, I’ll break the information down into some frequently asked questions:

WE’re Back?

Yes, I would like to think so. We (I’ll get into who “we” is in a minute) have been hard at work on the most recent update since December of last year, and we've seen a large influx of players since doing so. We would like to use this opportunity to bring some long-needed improvements to the game and also be more transparent while doing it.

Who are we?

We are a small subset of previous community developers and contributors, we’re in charge of Due Process’ future and development. We hope to make all those that have worked on the game historically proud and continue to uphold the quality of the game as the previous developers move on. More information on this migration and what it means for Giant Enemy Crab as a studio will be shared later in the year. What are we working on? Since the last major update, we have all been hard at work releasing new maps and QOL updates that the game has so desperately needed. We have implemented new regions, balanced new guns, fixed bugs and (hopefully) made the game a little bit better. While it's nice to look back at what we’ve been up to, we also want to give you some idea of what we are going to be working on in the future. We are currently working on a UI rework to make our UI elements more readable. Along with that, we also are working on some smaller changes, such as visual indicators on dropped weapons to make them easier to see while looting players, as well as some UAV changes that should make it easier for the attackers to see what defenders are doing and prevent truck spawn-peeking. We are also looking at adding a new audio system into the game which should allow you to pinpoint where enemies are with ease. We also are going to be working on more (and even bigger) features in the future, so we would love to begin an overhaul of the training area as well as improvement to the new player experience to soften the learning curve associated with the game’s many mechanics.

What to expect going forward Going forward

We’re going to work towards being more transparent with updates and what is going on in the background. This also means more devblogs - yippee! We are going to try and hit a fortnightly schedule of devblogs to keep our players up-to-date on the latest. This should mean that you have a better understanding of what we’re doing, and why we’re doing it.

Due Process League

You might have seen that the Due Process League is back! We have decided to bring back the competitive side of the game and with this we have given the DPL a facelift. Going forward the DPL will have both main tournaments where competition is key as well as side tournament with a little bit of fun. Look out for DPL starting on June 14th and a 2v2 tournament starting on July 12th. You can catch it on our socials or on the DueProcessLeague Twitch!

Outro

Thank you so much to everyone that has played the update and given feedback - we really appreciate it and we can't thank you all enough for how well this last months have been. We can’t wait to continue development and make Due Process the best it can be. From everyone on the team, thank you. <3p.s. look out for sales!
