We just rolled out a big update. Here is an overview of all the new features and changes:

Gunplay 2.0

We completely overhauled our gunplay! They look and feel better now:

  • We reworked the recoil for all guns which makes the gunplay more skill-based.

  • We added cool recoil animations and weapon sway which makes guns look more real.

  • All muzzle-flashes, tracers, and some impacts have been completely rebuilt from scratch.

Here is a little preview video, but we strongly recommend you jump into the game and try it out for yourself!

Simultaneous Ranked Queuing

You will now be able to queue for a ranked match while you are playing a casual match. If a ranked match is found you will be able to leave the casual match and load right into the ranked match. To queue for both game modes, press both buttons separately.

Casual Match Consolidation

You might be wondering what happens to the casual match you just left because you found a ranked match: The match continues. To make this not frustrating for the remaining players, we implemented a feature we call “Casual Match Consolidation”. When matches are consolidated, multiple partially filled casual matches will be merged into a single match during play. The process is fully automatic, you don’t have to worry about it at all.

Drawing Improvements

Sometimes planning can get confusing. Especially, when multiple people are drawing at the same time. To help with these kinds of situations, You can now hover over existing drawings to see, who created them. Additionally, you can see who is the creator of a drawing while it’s being created:

Drawings will now respect the elevation of the surface they’re being drawn on. This means elevated areas like catwalks and offices will now have visible drawings in first person.

We also polished how the camera moves to the map view after death and centered the map the camera when planning starts.

And More

The list goes on. Wall-bangs got nerfed, lights-out plays are actually dark now, characters got a facelift, grenades have been added to the training area, and much more. Check out the full details in the patch notes.
