Are you still one of the people without an Alpha key? I have good news for you: You can now just invite yourself. Instructions can be found in #get-alpha-access channel. Only limitation: Your PC must meet our hardware requirements. The requirements are not final yet, so just follow the instructions and we’ll review your specs.

Speed Runs

Three weeks ago we gave our testers access to the Training Area. While it is a useful learning tool for new players it proved to be entertaining to veterans as well: They started speedrunning it! Let me give you an overview of the different categories and show you clips of the current records:

100%

In the 100% category, you have to get through the course and leave the building the intended way (through the dark room).

Current record: 21.67 seconds by Spha

Any% without bell-skip

In this category, your goal is to get out of the building in the fastest way possible. The only limitation: Don't use the bell-skip. The major difference to 100% is a creative usage of the wall-charge. What is "bell-skip", you ask? Look no further than the next category.

Current record: 19.852 seconds by Ozy_GEC

Any%

There is a hidden bell behind one of the walls in the starting room. When you hit it, you get teleported out of the building. The purpose of which was a secret method for developers to skip straight to the shooting range, eventually discovered by testers. For speedrunning it means, that this category is a very short one:

Current record: 1.067 seconds by C34A

Reverse bell-skip

Bell-skip does not only give us one category but two! In this one everything is reversed: First, you have to hit the bell to teleport out of the building, and then you must get back in the starting room as fast as possible. The route for this category has undergone multiple changes already. Here is the latest:

Current record: 32.52 seconds by Plaeg

Thank you!

We have put a lot of effort into the Training Area and seeing people engaging with it in more ways than we anticipated fills our hearts with joy. It shows that people are really excited about Due Process and so are we. We look forward to what else there is to come!
